New Year's Resolutions... Stepping Outside of your comfort zone

If you haven't already, now is the time to set some NYR's for Next Year!! ^_^ Whether its completing a tree or reaching level 25, it all depends!

NYR's are all about making new goals for the new year, and most of the time those are always goals that challenge you to step out of your comfort zone! Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, It's always good to try new ideas and things!

Remember, New Years Day is Friday!

Mine NYR's are:

  1. Complete my Spanish Tree

  2. Start the reverse tree

  3. Get to level 25 on Spanish tree

  4. Reach Translation Tier 4

  5. Start a new language! (Possibly german or french)

6 Get a 20 day streak?

What are your New Year's Resolutions? Do we share any of the above in common?

Comment Below with your New Year Resolutions!

Great post! No additional languages for me (just German). My goal for this year is to be able to read, by the end of the year, the two German novels I got for Christmas. They're light reading, so nothing too challenging. But right now I open them and can't understand more than a few words/phrases here and there. It will be nice to finish my German tree, supplement my Duolingo with additional German study every day, and then finally be able to read/write/speak German with some confidence.

Hi. B1, C1, etc., refer to CEFR or CEF, a language learning, proficiency ranking system. General levels of increasing ability in reading, listening, speaking, and writing are A, B, C, and then sub levels A1, A2, etc., are within each major group. Finish the Russian tree and do the Italian tree in 2016.

Continue to improve my Russian outside of Duolingo.

Watch a movie in Russian without subtitles and understand it.

For German, I want to finish the tree and reverse tree, complete the a1 and a2 courses on Memrise, and complete my coursebook. Then I want to find a pen pal that I can Skype with and practice speaking once a week.
