Transliteration issues

Is it just me or are the allowable trasliterations on here very limited?

I'm a native Russian speaker (using the Russian language lessons as a test for how well this program works) but don't have a Cyrillic alphabet keyboard downloaded on my computer, so I can't do the lessons using the Cyrillic alphabet. That being said, when I use the transliterations that feel appropriate, I would say about 30-40% of the time, Duolingo doesn't recognize them as correct (though they technically are). Is there a set "transliteration" alphabet that it uses that I can reference?

I strongly recommend installing a Cyrillic keyboard, it's not difficult at all. See this article by Shady_arc: https://www.duolingo.com/comment/11449014
