Mobile Devices Duolingo App

Hey guys,

I have recently switched over to a Windows phone and would love to see the Duolingo app to be able to be downloaded on the Windows platform as well as Android, iPhone and the iPad. I feel that there is not always enough time to load up my laptop and have to log in when I could potentially quickly access it from my phone. It is also difficult getting on if I don't have my laptop with me and no internet access on my phone. (This happened the other week resulting in me losing my long streak which I was very pleased about!)

Any feedback will be much appreciated :)

I think that it would be a good idea to develop a Duolingo mobile site. That way Windows Phone users could use it, and so could other platforms that are in the minority (BlackBerry, Symbian, Meego, etc.). Also, it would be good for people who use iOS or Android but would rather a web interface than an app, or for whatever reason can't install apps.

Really, not having a mobile site is downright immoral.

I didn't realize they didn't have a mobile site until yesterday. It doesn't work at all on mobile!

I just think it would be a good idea as if you search for a windows app on discussions it comes up with quite a considerable amount of people wishing it to be developed. I just thought I would try and put in Duo devs mind's again!

Windows Phones have only 3.6% of the market (http://techcrunch.com/2013/11/12/windows-phone-android-gain-market-share-while-apple-slips-despite-growth-in-iphone-shipments/). I'd highly, highly doubt they're going to take that much time to design/build an interface for something with less than 5% of the market share. I could be wrong, though.

I have been trying to find a Windows app too and it's frustrating that there is no app. It would be so much easier learning while travelling to work instead of always tying to study after work when I am so tired that I tend to lose my streaks.....I think they should look into it....even if the Windows smartphone market share isn't great.....
