Google Classroom Invite Link NOT Functioning

Students are touching their invite link to the class I set up on their iPads, the link takes them to the DuoLingo website which prompts them to Log In or Create An Account, some students have the app so it'll push to the app instead. Either way, some students are getting the invitation and selecting it and some are not. Why is this? Is this a common issue?

Hello! Can you please clarify the issue for me? Are you saying some students are not getting the invitation? If so, is it possible there is a mistake in the email address or that it's going to their spam folder? As an alternative, they could log in to their accounts and go to their settings page, under progress sharing, and add the teacher's email there. Link: https://www.duolingo.com/settings/observer Please let us know if that works!

Hello,

That is not the problem. I'm sharing with them the link via Google Classroom. The link takes them to DuoLingo and generally nothing happens. Either the student is logged in because they had an account already and we are able to see the progress they've made thus far on their own OR they are prompted to create an account. I would say it's working 40% of the time, but I will try the observer link you've shared. Thanks for the quick response!

Hi! The link is supposed to take them to their own Duolingo page. A pop-up should appear as soon as they are in their accounts, letting them know that you are asking for permission to track them and have them in your classroom. If they accept, they are automatically in. Is it not happening this way?

It is not, but your solution to have them add my email seems to be doing the trick.
