The most similar thing to a Duolingo Chinese course
Developed by Judith Meyer (or Junesun, here)
I have already announced this some months ago, but it has been finally launched on December, so I thought it would be great to tell the community about it.
The system/method is similar to the one from Duolingo, you have to translate sentences from one language to the other one, and it also has some other types of exercises. In addition, it has 'reading practice' with made-up dialogs at the end of each lesson, and also a cool 'speaking practice', in which you talk with your virtual 'teacher' using the words you have learnt in the lesson.
Right now, it has enough material to pass the HSK1, according to the website, but further material is being made.
I find it very interesting, and recommendable to anyone who'd like to start learning Chinese.
thanks for sharing it. Now I'm also using memrise and hellochinese. Memrise is efficient in learning vocab and HelloChinese app is fun and very similar to duolingo.
I haven't tried those so I am not able to tell :/
Will it still be free after the beta?
Is there a usage/walkthough video on YouTube?
That's great news, Guido. I'll definitely take a look as soon as I have free time. Thanks for sharing, dude.
Great to read that it interested you! You have certainly been bitten by the language bug as many people here, including myself ;D
I've tried all three, LearnYu is a mess. After 30 minutes of testing it I was done with using it. HelloChinese and Chineseskill are both decent apps, though I slightly preferred HelloChinese due to it being even more similar to Duolingo than Chineseskill. It's just a shame neither of the two have a browser version I can use on my laptop.
