Duolingo is the most popular way to learn languages in the world. Best of all, it's 100% free!

Could Duo Add a "Competition" Subscription

Some people have complained or feel (I am not one of them) that "XP competitions have become an excuse for kids to use the Discussion as a chat room." If Duolingo were to add a "Competition" Subscription, this could be readily solved :)

The forum could stand having several more sub-forums.

  • Competitions
  • Milestones ("I reached level 3, yay!" "Fifteenth golden owl!")
  • Introductions
  • New Language Requests (with the top 20 or so languages stickied there for users to upvote rather than posting yet another post asking about Finnish, Icelandic, or Latin)

Yes! That would get rid of so much clutter.

That would be awesome!! It would really help to maintain competition clutter, cause there is a lot on here that I have seen

I would suggest that Duolingo makes a forum for the entertainment and activities made by users.

I think Duolingo should temporarily ban these competitions.
