Is Nie mam tego jeż possible? What about with enough context?

"Nie mam tego już" could be possible ( I imagine some crying accompanying już )

Nie mam tego, JEŻ. could be possible only when talking to hedgehog.

Even then it would be 'Nie mam tego, jeżu'

Well, how about that? :-D

Co jest nie tak w "tego już nie mam"?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Jellei

Niby nic, ale pokazuje bardzo silny akcent na 'tego'. "THIS I do not have anymore". Like "Okay, so you asked for three things... I have this, I have this, but this I do not have anymore"...

W większości kontekstów brzmiałoby to dziwnie.

So why does Duo reject

"Tego już nie mam" ("już" immediately before "nie mam"),

instead proposing

"Ja tego już nie mam"

where "Ja" is superfluous since already implied by "mam"? Does placing "Ja" at the beginning remove the strong emphasis on "tego"?

We can say that "ja" is almost always superfluous, but also always correct. As for "Tego już nie mam", the emphasis is really too strange and yeah, placing "Ja" explicitly makes it a bit more acceptable.

"I do not have it anymore" - a classic translator error is to confuse 'it' and 'this'. Without more context, such as a photo of the object, then 'this' indicates we do actually have it here.

OK, changed the main answer to "it".
