I did it, the tree is done!
I had to share, because I am in joy... I finished my first tree, the Italian one! I began to think it will never happen... So from me to those who struggle, persevere! The feeling of achievement and newfound knowledge, how little or big it is, is so fulfilling. Duolingo thank you! :-) And thanks to all of you who discuss and share :-*
It took me exactly 50 days, ( i froze one day) but I did maybe 30min to an hour a day. Because I love Italian soo much I maybe hurried a little bit. :-)
50 days?! Wow, that's crazy fast! Make sure you maintain it, or else you'll have to repeat it in a month or so - words decay fast.
I know, right? I am trying to strengthen the lessons every day, but they are weakening soo fast. But I will not give up :) Thank you.
50 days is fantastic, I am on day 27 and a long way from the goal. but yes they are weakening very fast, and most of them is weakening correct.
Yes I know, it can be annoying doing the same thing over and over again. But you know what they say... Repetition is the mother of learning. I`m sure you will finish the tree soon and keep it golden. :)
I am going to do an english tree from italian now, so when I finish that one, yes I would practice spanish also, thanks. But I don`t know how helpful I would be to you, because english is not my first language. I make many mistakes :-/
I would love to practice Spanish if you want! English is my first language :) And Ketcha, it seems like you speak English very well! I would have thought it is your first language too.
Sure!! When you want we can do it! No se si prefieres que te escriba en espanol? Tienes facebook?
Congratulation ! I know how it feel when you finish your first tree ! How was your impressions with Italian ?
I loved it. I learned a lot. I don`t know how well, or can I communicate at all. But in theory I really put some pieces together. I recommend it.
Well I came here for italian, but I started the spanish tree too. I will do that and then, who knows..
Brava Ketcha!!! Io ho completato l'albero in inglese tante volte e ogni giorno continuo ad esercitarmi 30 minuti. Ti aspettiamo in Italia!
Grazie mille! Sto ancora imparando. Pero, un giorno, presto, Italia qui vengo! :-)
E devo dire che scrivi anche bene! Brava continua così e vedi di allenarti anche con le "conversation"
How much Italian did you know before you started?...and can you hold a conversation now that you have finished? Also, any tips/advice for someone learning Italian after moving to Milan?
I was a beginner when I came here, I listened to Italian music and watched TV shows just to get the feel for the language. Now... I understand it, and I can hold a basic conversation, nothing complicated. Only advice that I can give you is to listen to the native speakers and speak the language every chance you get. And good luck in Milan. I`m jealous. :)
so far i have done 19 but sometimes i skip a few days so i have to strengthen them
I started doing this to learn italian, and found out that it is fun also. So I am still repeatedly strengthening my italian tree and learning spanish too.
hello, I'm mostly doing German, and yep! I really love learning the words and stuff, I'm not that far though, but yeah, practicing makes you better! (new-ish to duo, somewhere between 1-3 months I forgot exactly though xD) :P
