After doing the German videos post I decided to do a similar one for Basque, since people asked for it.

Here there are online courses for beginners, for intermediate learners, dictionaries and some games to practice the language.

Online courses, and other resources.

This is a general guide for all basque learners (the site is in Spanish). There are presential classes, online courses, information about barnetegiak (like intensive courses in the Basque Country where you immerse yourself a lot in the culture). Also self-learning websites and other resources for learners outside of the Basque Country.

http://www.hiru.eus/eu/e-ikasi/idiomas/ikasten

This online course is the most popular one I know. I haven't tried it, but some Basque learners say it covers a lot of content.

http://www.lantalan.eus/bestelakoak/euskara-on-line-eta-doan-ikasi-eta-praktikatzeko-hamar-webgune

Onilne courses for absolute beginners, websites to prepare for EGA exam (C1 level), links to websites where you can test your level and so on.

http://www.wikilearning.com/curso_gratis/curso_de_idioma_euskera/5971-1

A very complete "course" for absolute beginners. (It's in Spanish)

VIDEOS:

http://www.eitb.eus/eu/kultura/zinema-euskaraz/?_ga=1.258161929.2039811503.1452113379 Films in Basque, again, no subtitles :( The most popular one there is "Kutsidazu bidea Ixabel". Youtube link with spanish subtitles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rvf5bInlHv8 The theater version was very popular as well, you can download it here: http://euskal-encodings.com/smf/index.php?topic=2783.0

The main news channel in the Basque Country is EITB: http://www.eitb.eus/eu/ You can set the language to basque, spanish, english or french at the top left and I guess it can be good practice to listen to a video in basque and then in english to see how much you understood. No subtitles.

http://marrazkiak.euskal-encodings.com/ Here there are series, films for children, other films and documentaries. If you click in one of them there are links to MEGA, and sometimes they are .zip files (if a password is needed, you can find it in the description in the website (it's usually ab)), and other times they are files to be opened with jdownloader.

Goenkale is a show that has lasted for 20+ years: http://www.eitb.eus/eu/telebista/programak/goenkale/ This is the official website and I've looked around but there aren't many episodes available :(

http://www.eitb.eus/eu/telebista/programak/aitaren-etxea/

This is a story about some basque people in the 1950s who were against Franco and his dictatorship and had to live in difficult conditions (in case you don't know the history, you can read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basque_conflict or search "basque and franco" in google). It also includes people telling their stories about their childhood and how franquism affected it. Here you can see the 15 episodes: http://www.eitb.tv/es/video/aitaren-etxea/5307/105556/1--atala/ Sadly there are no subtitles, and people have different accents that can make comprehension a little difficult.

Overall, the videos (films and series) are for quite advanced learners, since there are no subtitles in any of them and people speak at normal speed. However, there are many online courses for beginners that you can check out.

Let's hope Duolingo adds the Basque course soon so that more people can have access to it!

Thanks a lot for the share. I'm sort of glued to Duolingo, even though I really have other ways to advance my language studies, because I'm waiting for the day that Basque goes Beta! Then I will be among the first 11 or whatever random number of students that are recorded on the screen for the first 24 hours of it being released. Some day! Eskerrik asko!

Thanks for the list, anebz! Here you can find a list of short dialogs with transcripts arranged according to difficulty (A1-C2) which can be helpful for practicing listening comprehension and learning some more colloquial vocabulary. It's probably a nice stepping block into the other native material you shared.

The wiki course seems like an earlier version of Gorka's Curso de euskera, the PDF version is probably more convenient and a bit more updated. But it's pretty thorough.

anebz (or anyone), do you know of any shows/movies with matching subtitles? I know of azpitituluak.com, but i don't think most of those are official translations (and many haven't been dubbed in Basque, which is probably why people made the subtitles to begin with).
