447 day streak ended

So I know this is pretty random, but I am really sad I wanted to tell someone so why not all of Duolingo right? ;) Well, I had a 447 day streak and I lost it! It's not like I went somewhere that didn't have wifi! I was literally at my house for 2 days and just didn't do it. I had the streak freeze. I had them send my notifications to tell me to practice. So now I feel pretty terrible, and I need motifation. So if you have any words of wisdom or just a random "Hang in there", I would greatly appreciate it. :)

Remember it is the language knowledge that is important, not a streak number. You will get the streak back again if you feel that is important motivation, otherwise keeo on improving your German and Spanish.

We need sex symbols next to the name. People always assume I'm a guy, too..... Anyhow, keep your head up! You've achieved cool things here with both German and Spanish, they can't take that away! ;)

Ouch!

Once I decided to try to maintain a streak, it seemed like forever for those first 10-day and 30-day milestones to arrive.

Eventually I lost a streak of 420-ish days, and because Duo was part of my life, I just kept at it and it seemed like no time at all had gone by and I had a respectable streak again.

Then I lost a 186 day streak and got mad at myself and didn't care about my streak.
When I decided to maintain one again, it seemed to take forever for those first milestones to roll around.

So, my advice, from my own experience: get back in the saddle and stay there!

Wow, that really feels bad. Still, your streak shouldn't be your only motivation. Everybody loses their streak at one time or another.

Sometimes we just need a break. That's not such a bad thing. It's a shame you've lost such a long streak. It shows just how much you care about learning languages. You could share your longest streak information on your profile. Then when you are motivated again, you'll be able to have a competition with yourself to see if you can beat that long streak.

Remember language learning is the most important thing. The streak is just motivational. Don't make it your only motivation. Don't give up. Take a break, and then when you're feeling refreshed and ready to start again, keep learning.

I am so sorry for your loss. Perhaps you can listen to your favourite Spanish music or watch something in Spanish you like a lot to cheer you up. Keep in mind that it is more important what you have learnt through your commitment to practise a little every single day and not just to maintain a streak. I know the streak is a great motivational feature at the beginning, but it does not have to be more important than language learning itself. You achieved a lot reaching level 25 in both German and Spanish languages.

Your doing just fine, hang in there, continue your study's, no need to beat yourself up for something like that what's done is done if your feeling sad about your streak now you know what to do next time. Good luck and God Bless

I had lost a 200 day streak before and I vowed to break that 200 barrier. You should also do the same, 450 maybe?

Level 25 in both German and Spanish . . . enhorabuena!

I'm curious how is your listening skills in both Spanish or German? What particular resources do you find helpful? Are you practicing speaking often? If so, how? Currently I'm doing more listening than anything else in Spanish.

Hang in there? That's kind of cheap, so I'll just say that I'm rooting for you! Go ejm00!

Sorry to hear about that. But you will get there in no time again, and since you have reached level 25 for your two first language projects (congrats!), I'd think it is time now for... French? Korean? Or any other language you'd like to invest some time in. :-)
