Is it a paid feature? Since I don't have it.

No, it is free, but only about 50% of the people on Duolingo have it.

Thanks, Daniel. Do you know what the rules or requirements are? How does one work to obtain it?

You don't work to obtain it, you merely happen to have it on your profile. One guy said he had to start 3 accounts to get access to both Words and Immersion. Duolingo is running a test to see if they should keep the feature.

A translation tier is what stage you are on in Immersion. You start out on tier 1. You translate sentences, and if the sentences get upvotes by people on your tier or higher, you will get those votes (up to a certain amount) shown on the white space on the right. Once you reach 100, you go to the next tier. Go to immersion and click on the 'Progress towards next tier' button on the right; it will explain it better than I can!

You may not have Immersion, since Duolingo is removing it from some user's accounts, sadly. If you do have immersion, you will find the button on the top of the webpage on the blue bar next to Discussion. Does this link work for you?

Yeah I don't think I have it cuz I clicked that thing and it said that they didn't have that. Do you know why they are deleting it? Thanks though! :D

I had to start 3 accounts to get access to both Words and Immersion. I know DL's running a test (I imagine to find out if they're worth supporting), but it kind of stunk not having a standard feature because of some random registration algorithm.

So what is Words? Just vocab practice?

Guess that's as far as we can collapse the forum, but yes, words is vocab practice. They have a flashcard feature that you can use, or you can simply browse words you're having trouble with. I like it and think it adds a good review of material, but it offers no XP if that matters to you.
