Hi ZoraydaBal,

This seems to be a question about schools.duolingo.com thus could you move your question to the "Educators" forum (edit your post and choose (top-left corner) the "Educators" forum). Thanks.

Now, about your question, in order to understand clearly your problem:

  • what do you call "BASIC level"?
Thee exists (in most Duo trees) skills (=units of the tree) called "BASIC", is it what you're referring too?
The levels on Duo is something else, it's like in a game where you need a certain amount of XP to go from one "level" to the next one. But they don't tell if you know this or that, just that you "played"/worked a given amount.

Hi! .... I'm in the educator page and it shows 3 levels of spanish ... Basic, intermediate and advance. We finished all the lessons for the basic level (the tree) in 3 days. Do you know how to move to the intermediate level?

all the lessons for the basic level (the tree) in 3 days.

"the tree" -> Do you mean you finish the entire tree (up to skill SPIRITUAL)?

I have one student who completed all the levels up to skill COND PER ... The last little circle where it has a runner! I have 5 more students behind him that will probably finish today!!

There is only one Spanish (from English) tree and its last unit/skill is COND. PERF., there is nothing after.

If you look at the page "curriculum" of your class (and click on each of the three category you're referring to), you'll see that:

  • "BASIC skills" part corresponds more or less to the first third of said tree
  • "INTERMEDIATE skills" part corresponds more or less to the second third of said tree
  • "ADVANCED skills" part corresponds more or less to the last third of said tree

So if your students are around COND. PERF. it's that they have done (or almost done) all three BASIC part, INTERMEDIATE skills and ADVANCED part.
There isn't more unit after COND. PERF.

Moving this to Educator's forum. Your students move through the course automatically, the levels shown in the Duolingo for Schools are for reference only. :]

Hi vivisaurus,

coudl you confirm or disconfirm that Educator forum is subject to level 2 restriction?
Cf. "It doesn't let me post on the educators forum, only here!" [ZoraydaBal]

That should not be the case. :\

What do you mean they have finished the basic level? Have they finished the tree? If so that is all there is apart from revising lessons and doing Immersion if that is available for your L2.

It doesn't let me post on the educators forum, only here!

You may need that your Duo account the account ZoraydaBal) reach the XP-level 2 in any course you'd like to take in order to be able to write in forums. But I thought that Educators forum had no such restriction...
Just take yourself some lessons (for example in the “Spanish from English" tree) and you'll be able to write on all forums.

@ZoraydaBal: Duo confirmed me that there is no "XP-level 2" restriction on Educator forum.
Thus you can publish there or move your discussion afterwise (by editing it) if needed (in this case it seems vivisaurus did it already).
