Duolingo is the most popular way to learn languages in the world. Best of all, it's 100% free!

Export Vocabulary words

Is there a way to export the Vocabulary words into Excel or PowerPoint? Or even better, if there was an automatic way to generate printable flashcards.

If you use crome, someone made a crome extension you can download to create flashcards. I have also used it to copy and paste vocab words into excel, but it isn't pretty.

Can you link to it? I can only find an extension that tests the vocab more thoroughly. Can't export vocab

there's a website called memrise, it's brilliant for learning vocab and better than duolingo for keeping words in your long term memory. and some very patient people have made lessons to coincide with the duolingo lessons. here's the link for the German course, and i'm sure with a bit of googleing a course can be found for each language.

I just recently needed the same thing. Without installing anything:

  • go to http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=7TxULVgT copy that JavaScript to your clipboard
  • come back to this page
  • open Tools => Web Developer => Scratchpad (if you're using Firefox)
  • paste JavaScript there and click Run

You will see text "Page #" in the comment box on the top while vocabulary is being downloaded. And it will be shown there once it's ready. Then you can copy it to Excel or whatever you'd like.

Unfortunately this doesn't work for me. Gives me some errors and I don't really understand them. Do you have any other suggestions?

You can just copy paste the vocabulary from https://www.duolingo.com/words. Copy it first to the Notepad and then recopy to Excel. Hope it helps.
