There is the é where it should be. No Problem with á or ñ as well. But when i hold the i, i can only choose the 8 as special character.

Any ideas?

Double check that you are using the English (US) keyboard. If you aren't you can find it under Settings -> Language and Input.

Kuhl! That solves my duoproblem and half a dozen others as well. I now usw spanisch input directly. I can now switch bezween several "active input languages". Could look at the switching "y" and "z" all evening.

But what is "spanish (USA)"?

It's the same as the Spanish keyboard, except the Spanish US has the $ sign. The Spanish keyboard has € instead.

Sounds reasonable. That makes € and $ not only the Main difference in the economies but also in the languages.

If you don't get any helpful answers here, don't forget that you can move or post this question to the Troubleshooting forum by following these steps:

  1. Edit post

  2. Click "Duolingo" at the top of the editing window (it is a drop down menu)

  3. Select "Troubleshooting" from the menu

  4. Save your post.

In the future, you can find the Troubleshooting forum by going to the Discussion main page and looking to the right. You'll either need to scroll down to see miniature flags, or else you'll see it at the top of the right side under the title "Sections" depending on which layout you are seeing ^_^

As far as I know, yes. Good question!

Pablobaytart's question is relevant, as this answer pertains to their ability to use accents in lessons for the Duolingo app on their phone. :)

When I try to select the correct character from the pulldown menu, the menu disappears. Help! (Duolingo app support has not answered my question.)
