I have Irish immersion...
Today I felt like translating some sentences, so I switched to Spanish Immersion. And guess what? Instead of Spanish Immersion, it showed "Irish to English translations".
I was shocked. Was this a glitch (there wasn't an Immersion tab in Irish, it was just in my Spanish immersion; a little weird)? There weren't any documents to translate, so then I reloaded the page, and it returned to the normal Spanish immersion. That was strange.
I regret not taking a screenshot of it, but the next time it happens I will totally do that. I think it was probably a glitch, or it could be a hint about more immersion languages (or an A/B test for that!). Has anyone else experienced this?
That's pretty cool if it's going to happen! I think most people here would appreciate more immersion!
And I'd love for there to be an Esperanto immersion! It would help grow the community. (Translating English articles into Esperanto :)
You mean from the reverse trees? (English for Russian speakers) Irish doesn't have one...
There is a little trick to enter Russian immersion (or any other language that doesn't have one) Open a tab in your browser, go to Duolingo and choose one of the languages that has immersion (German, for example) Now, without closing that tab, open a new one and go to Duolingo again. It will appear in German since that was the last language you were in. Switch to Russian. Now go to the first tab you opened, that will still be in German, and go to immersion. You will now be in the Russian immersion page. This works for me, at least.
I don't know if it's because I'm currently in the mobile browser, but when I went back to the immersion tab I just got a 404 error message. I've tried this before (with the words tab, too) and I've never been able to make it work. I can usually open immersion documents if I have a direct link, but the immersion tab trick doesn't seem to work.
Thanks for trying, though!
