Duolingo is the most popular way to learn languages in the world. Best of all, it's 100% free!

Very confused as to why "Hearts" still appears on the log-in screen...they're not used anymore!

As one scrolls down the log-in screen, he will be able to see that Duolingo provides a graphic which elaborates on the language learning experience. However, for MONTHS now (and I'm talking about MONTHS) Duolingo has continued to show that Hearts are still in play - though they now exist solely in the memory of those who were here in the beginning, and in the Forum Lore for those who are newer.

When will Duolingo remove that, and change it to reflect the true nature of its learning experience - that being a "fill-the-meter" system? I think it would be best for them to advertise what is really going on when a user embarks on his language learning journey. Just a thought!

I agree that it could be updated, but for the record - all tests (skill tests, shortcuts) still make use of the hearts system.

Perhaps they could specify that they are only used for that?...again, just throwing out ideas, truly.

And Windows Mobile.
Do you know if there are plans in motion to bring Windows Mobile in line with the other platforms? :-)

If you are running Windows 10, you can install the Duolingo App and experience the Hearts scoring method.

This app can be installed on any Windows 10 laptop or desktop, not just a Windows Mobile device.

You still use hearts, when testing out.
