Someone spammed my stream, now I can't even see my own stream
Hi, when I go to your profile I get your name, image, and then "There was an error retrieving your stream."
Posting about this here in troubleshooting is the right thing to do. You can also submit a bug report: https://support.duolingo.com/hc/en-us/articles/204728264-How-do-I-report-a-bug-
There's a new A/B test going on that removes the activity stream, or so I believe. Go to this link and do a search for "web_no_streams_experiment" (without the quotes), tell us if the word next to it is "true" or "false". You can search with the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+F" (or "Cmd+F" on a mac).
Then you're not part of that test group. I suggest you file in a bug report as proposed by Lrtward and wait for Duo staff to correct it.
It's indeed strange as I get the message "There is an error retrieving your stream." when I try to access it, and I could see the stream of the other user that reported they couldn't access it (it was verified that they were part of the test group).
There was another post earlier today from someone who was also unable to see their stream. He wrote that he did not have the "Activity" tab either, and it seems to be a new A/B test.
Do you have the "Activity" tab, Annika?
ETA: I just tried to view your stream and got an error message for that, so it seems to be something different altogether, possibly related to the earlier spamming.
The best idea is to post on a moderator's stream, and they will fix the problem.
Sure, but two things: 1. Some moderators really dislike it when you write something like that on their streams. 2. If somebody really spams your stream so that it is hard for you to use, then it's a serious matter and should be directly reported to staff. You can additionally post it on a moderators stream if you are sure that it's OK for him/her that you do it (I'm OK with that for example) =)
