It is a bit confusing, and some of the idioms have no direct translation. But I have understood some of the idioms and had a correct or almost correct translation of the idioms. Part of my reason for learning a foreign language was to gain some insight into how different cultures see the world. Thanks for these lessons.
I agree. I don't mind having to repeat the lessons 2 or 3 times just to learn the idioms that have no obvious English correspondence in meaning.
Yes! Failure is part of the learning process. There are some who say that these idioms should be later in the skill tree, but I don't necessarily think so. Way back when I was in High School German, we learned idioms as we went, and we started early in our first year.
