Duolingo is the most popular way to learn languages in the world. Best of all, it's 100% free!

Go to Immersion. Duo Top of the screen, to the left of your profile.

It isn't available to everyone. The Immersion feature may actually be removed completely in the future, from what I hear, since it's abandoned.

Bottom line: Don't worry about it if you don't have it. Maybe pick some simple text online and try to translate it and share it on here (the German/English forum) for people to critique/comment.

Thank you for your reply :) It's a shame that it might be removed because I think it is a good way of practising the language you're learning.

:/ I don't have it either. People like us have to do without it, sadly

It's a shame! Good luck with your languages anyway :)

Same to you! You can still translate documents as long as you have the link to one though. You just wont be able to post your own

Rumor has it that there's an A/B test in progress, comparing the Duolingo results of those who have Immersion with the results of those who don't. Depending on what it finds, none of us may have it eventually - or all of us taking languages where it is already established may have it.
