Saluton kaj bonan tagon!

Sometimes I have difficulties in remembering certain words of vocabulary, especially conusing words that sound similar to each other or forgeting words that differ from English a lot.

I've wondered whether you encounter this problem as well and how do you deal it if you do?

Dankon kaj gxis!

It's a very common problem with language learning, constant review of problem words will help sort out the problem via flashcards, memrise, or perhaps writing out practice sentences to use them in context.

It take a lot of repetition. As silly as it sounds, babbling to yourself while you're at home or in the car is a big help. I usually have issues with vocabulary unless I practically cheer or sing the new words at myself. Kids books are a huge help, too, because they repeat the same words and phrases. If you're a very visual person, associating new words with pictures helps. But whatever you decide to try, it all comes down to spending time with the words, not rushing through. It's easy to get good enough at recognizing the written word to pass a review, but zipping through new vocabulary won't drive them into your brain like taking your time will.

Fully agree with above comments. I personally don't find flashcards and Memrize (or any tool that give you words without a context) useful to me, so the solution I apply to is to reviewing and exercising constantly. Most of the time, I learn those problem words without noticing.

This article has some good methods: http://www.lingholic.com/how-to-remember-words-when-learning-a-language/

I like the Gold List because you don't have to spend a lot of time drilling.

Very nice reading. I liked #3. Actually that's what I was using without realizing it.
