I assume it follows the UK style where Mr/Ms/Mrs don't have a period after them.
Correct. If the abbreviation contains the final letter of a word, you don't use a full stop/period e.g. Mr, Dr but Prof., Rev.
Wow. Been in the UK ten years and had noticed the lack of full stop after Mr, Dr, etc. Didn't know the rule re: final letter, though. Thanks!
what's the point of putting these names right in the first lessons? shouldn't they be teaching the language here?
By learning few names you can then use them throughout the whole course, thus making a feel of connection to the characters and have more pleasant experience.
I translate as Good night Mr Lingo. However i keep being told this is wrong.
Literally typed the exact thing as the answer and it's still marking me as incorrect??
Might be a glitch with the app, punctuation should be ignored by the system but occasionally it marks it wrong. If you have a screen shot of what you typed and the message you had that would be really useful for us to take up with system maintenance.
