"We like music. And we are listening to music now."
Translation:Ми любимо музику. І ми слухаємо музику зараз.
I answered "Ми любимо музику. І ми зараз слухаємо музику". As a native Ukrainian speaker I think it should be accepted to put "зараз" in the middle of the sentence. But in general this sentence doesn't sound very natural. It is best to use "Ми любимо музику. І ми зараз її слухаємо."
My answer was: "ми любимо музику. Та ми слухаємо музику зараз." та got marked as wrong - instead it said і should be used. But duolingo taught me that they are practically interchangeable - any ideas on this?
When joining words, they are very similar. But when joining sentences, «та» is closer to «але» and not to «і».
so when im connecting words i can use them interchangeably without sounding weird, but when i am connecting sentences i should use "i" and "a" for and , and "ta" and "але" for but, did i get that right?
Yes. But please note that «і» and «а» are not interchangeable, «а» implies some contrast («Ми любимо музику, а вони люблять літературу» 'We like music, and they like literature').
It doesn't feel natural. «Тепер» implies some change of the state (i.e. we're now listening to the music, but we weren't before).
