Why are the days put backwards here, is there a reason or is it just like that?

Gwener and Iau are the names of the day, dydd literally means "day".

Nos Wener - "Friday night"; bore Iau - "Thursday morning"; prynhawn Iau - "Thursday afternoon"; dydd Gwener - "Friday, the whole day".

I didn't see Gwener dydd and it's not there now, so it's all good.
