Fortunately I am not your father, Luke.
Star Wars reference I knew it before I even clicked on "Discuss sentence" LOL
one step ahead of me
clairvoyant--almost as if it's a cliché response (like all the top joke comments on this site. John Snow you know nothing hahafreakingha.)
Occurred to me too;
the Schwartz must be very strong in all of you.
I don't know what to feel about this sentence.
This sentence reminds of a Maury episode. Lol.
How to build self-esteem in children!
How does one say "Fortunately they are not your father"?
"Fortunatamente, loro non sono tuo padre."
Good question. I think that since out of context 'sono' would likely be taken to mean "I am" rather than "they are" then you'd have to include "loro".
JERRY! JERRY! JERRY! JERRY!
I was wondering if this sentence could actually be translated like this : "Luckily enough I am not your father" .. thanks!
Translation is an art, so yes, but DL probably would only accept it without "enough" in the sentence.
I don't know why not.
Kinda harsh! haha
The DNA test results have just come through!
Non! Non é possibile!
Irony is lost on the young. And personal sarcasm is felt as agression.
In a previous exercise fortunately was translated as per fortuna, and now it's not accepted here. Wth?!
