How does one say "Fortunately they are not your father"?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Ketutsf

"Fortunatamente, loro non sono tuo padre."

Good question. I think that since out of context 'sono' would likely be taken to mean "I am" rather than "they are" then you'd have to include "loro".

I was wondering if this sentence could actually be translated like this : "Luckily enough I am not your father" .. thanks!

Translation is an art, so yes, but DL probably would only accept it without "enough" in the sentence.

Irony is lost on the young. And personal sarcasm is felt as agression.

In a previous exercise fortunately was translated as per fortuna, and now it's not accepted here. Wth?!
