Some people might have noticed the Welsh word for 'blue' is the same as the Irish word for 'green' and the Scottish Gaelic word for 'grey'.

In traditional usage, glas can be used for certain types of green and grey in Welsh - like the sea and silver. Llwyd can cover any 'dull' colour, including greys and browns. Irish and Scottish Gaelic treat glas and liath in similar ways.

I remeber this by memorising Walter whites trademark blue "glass" (Crystal) from the series breaking bad. That's my link for this word anyway.
