Is it acceptable to just write dwi instead of dw i? I recall seeing this form a few times...

You may see dwi in casual writing on Twitter etc, but dw i is the usual way it's written.

The course, in most instances, will accept dwi, dw i, rydw i :)

Not a problem :) I think the whole point of the course (apart from learning the beautiful language, of course) is to interact! If I was studying another language or had questions, I'd like to know that the people who actually wrote the course are available :) Keep up your excellent language learning :D
