Duolingo crashes whenever I try to start a lesson.

It happens on Chrome and Safari. I've never had this problem before. Is it widespread?

Edit: I forgot to mention I'm using iOS 9.2.1 and whatever the newest versions of each browser is.

We have now worked our way around this problem by logging on using a laptop and Internet explorer rather than the iPad and iOS. However, this misses the point as this "solution" is very much a sticking plaster fix. The basic systemic problem remains i.e. there is clearly a programming error which manifests itself when the lessons are run using iOS software on an iPad. In my opinion the Duolingo software engineers should be looking at this as a matter of urgency.

DeniseHunr I think you must be right. Can you somehow report your analysis to Duolingo

(I have only an iPad with the latest iOS. I tried to cange browswer from Safari to Chrome. The result was the same: it cannot find the lessons with discussions)

using Firefox - when clicking in one of the skills options, e.g. Science, the lessons are not launching..

For me on Firefox/Windows everything was fine earlier today. But now it is not working for me either.

When I click the Strengthen skills button or the Begin button to try and learn new words nothing happens but a brief circling O. When I click the Test out button I get an empty screen.

It would be much appreciated if DL posts some information on the website about what is happening. Around midnight central time (US) I get the message that the site is not responding - this happened the last two days, always at the same time. If DL takes down the site at that time, please let us know so that we don't loose whatever we are working on.

It's happening to me too. Am up to 52 percent in French, really enjoying it. I like to use Duolingo on line using Safari on my iPad rather than the app. I have tried Chrome. Same thing, log in, get to home page, try to start a lesson and crash!.started yesterday.

Same here and it started yesterday or the day before. I reinstalled Duo Spanish on my iPad and can now get the lessons from it. On gMail it does not work. I do not have discussions and no French.

Maybe try using a different device. One computer won't let me practice but a different one will. I don't know why, but at least I can keep practicing while I try to see if there's a way I can fix it.

I would always use my iPad to go to duolingo.com and do my lessons. I ended up having to install the app on my iPad in order to complete my lessons.

The app is not as good as going on line. The lessons are different. Also I cannot use accents. I don't want to have to sit at a desk at my computer to learn French. I loved just lounging on the sofa, in bed on the bus etc doing the lessons. Am I ever going to be able to use it on my iPad?
