Duolingo iPad app is too easy

I think that the Duolingo iPad app is too easy. I know that it can be a pain in the ass to type every sentence on a tablet but almost every exercise contains these drag-and-drop-words which make the exercises too easy. I mean, when I see a word I can often recall its meaning - but that doesn't mean that I will remember the word or its spelling if I have to write it from memory. I am not completely against this kind of exercise but it appears way too often and decreases the challenge.

I must admit that you could just not look at the clickable words and try to construct the sentence in your head but it is always so tempting to sneak a peek on the words. And the problem that you won't be able to write a lot of words from memory remains.

Speaking of the iPad app: Timed practice would be nice, too. Maybe with twice the time as on the website because, as mentioned before, typing on a tablet is significantly harder/slower.

I agree completely. The app exercises are not comparable to the website. Very often there are "tap the pairs" exercises and once I even have got the same "tap the pairs" exercise three times in a row! Also drag and drop exercises are easier then typing. What is the reason behind such a discrepance in difficulty between the homepage and the app and when will it be changed. Also the pictures of the "people" that were added couple of updates ago are completely unnecessary.
