Gwladol (from gwlad : country, land) is less frequent, but you will see it used in, for instance, the name of the National Health Service (NHS): Gwasanaeth Iechyd Gwladol (GIG). To me, gwladol has a little more of the ring of the political (nation) state about it, whereas cenedlaethol (from cenedl : kindred, nation, tribe) approximates more to the idea of the nation as a "people".
