I don't know why but I have usually used dziś at the beginning of a sentence and dzisiaj at the end of the sentence or at the beginning of the sentence for emphasis. It seems to me that dzisiaj is a little more emphatic. Remember though, I am learning Polish and defer to native Polish speakers and higher level learners

In my opinion it is the same thing.. https://hinative.com/en-US/questions/55894

dzisiaj is just a bit less formal apparently

To to samo :) Możesz używać ich obu :D Nie ma żadnej różnicy :) Oba znaczą to, co angielskie "today" ;) It's the same :) You can use them both :D There's no difference at all :) Both means "today" ;)

They are the same thing- just used differently depending on stylistics :)

"dziś" is the short form of "dzisiaj". You can use both of them.
