I have a question. My friend and I are starting to learn danish but we can't seem to understand how the word "bread" is pronounced. It sounds it has an "L" involved? Anyway, I would appreciate the help from anyone that knows :)

You can listen it here with real voices : http://forvo.com/word/br%C3%B8d/#da

Note that "bread" is "brød" ("brødet" is "the bread").

It is difficult man, I had to practice with danish natives to get it. You have to move your throat like trying to swallow something big first, after being able to pronounce the "ø" you try to use the full word, but be ware with the "r", it's very easy to accidentally forget him. Good luck. (You will need it)

In Danish, the letter D sounds like soft L. Maybe that's why you hear like there's an L involved.
