dw i ddim yn hoffi coffi!!!!

After trying to strengthen the present tense for Welsh something like five times in a row and it STILL not give me full bars (and this is with me going through it several times with no mistakes, I might add, it stubbornly sticks to four bars and refuses to credit me with more), I'm beginning to be suspicious that duolingo is trying to somehow brainwash me into liking coffee (with lemon and/or chocolate) as well as to like Mondays and to dislike Fridays. YOU WON'T WIN DUO. I SHALL NEVER LIKE COFFEE. NOT EVEN WHEN YOU ADD DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE. As for Mondays or Fridays, I have no particularly feelings in one direction or the other.

Yes, this has been reported a few times. What seems to work is not to use the "strengthen skill" for the entire skill (at the right) but to "repeat lesson" for the single lesson in that skill (at the left).

That did the trick. Thanks!

Good to hear that - thanks for confirming!

My theory is that this happens because of the two names that are in the skill, Megan and Owen. They don't show up when you strengthen it, but they do appear in the lesson itself.

I've noticed that sometimes it won't give the normal 'skill strengthened' splash screen, but, upon leaving the practice screen, you will find that the skill has become gold.

This happened to me on my old account. Sigh. I was about level 10 on welsh, irish and swedish...
