This is the name of one of the ski pistes in Les Menuires. Why "du"?

Is it really "Du" france? because du = de + le and France is femenine, in any case it should probably be "Boulevard de la france" if you need to put the article, but it should be just "Boulevard de france"

sebasm90, your explanation is exactly the reason to ask this question. See a list of the pistes in Les Menuires here: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/WikiProject_Piste_Maps/Les_Trois_Vall%C3%A9es One of them is called "Boulevard du France".

Maybe, but I am only guessing, because "France" is also a name for other things : there was a very famous liner called "le France" in the seventies.
