Upcoming-course "fan pages" :D

So, as you know many people are excited about incubating courses (like Greek, Vietnamese, Hungarian, etc.) and upcoming courses (Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Finnish, Icelandic, etc.).

But when they post something about those languages, wether it be a course completion date, a new contributor, incubator news, or just plain excitement, we see no place to post these but the main-Duolingo discussion. Recently it's been getting quite clogged up with these posts, and not to mention they're somewhat not relevant to that forum. Example: (https://www.duolingo.com/comment/13607380)

So how can we solve this? Well, we can do Fan Pages! They're entire discussion boards (just like a normal one) devoted to each incubating or upcoming languages where anyone can post anything about those languages :)

I think this idea will help clear-up the discussion board, preventing "spam" and unrelevant posts, and make each new language more exciting :D

What do you think? Any suggestions?

I totally agree!!! With this new Fan-page forum, it would be a lot easier to see the more important discussions here on Duolingo. It'll really help the moderators out!

What if there was also one just for Competitions? I mean, I really love to join XP competitions, and it's so hard to find some because of all the other discussions out there. So if we had a "Competitions" forum, we would be able to see the top all time competitions, and also see new competitions.

Maybe we can have a forum called "Entertainment" or "Incubator"

meh. There's always going to be spam on the main board, and the example post you provide is about a course that does not exist yet. In fact, the whole point of the post was that it does not exist yet and people want it to exist. regardless of how we feel about such posts "clogging up" the stream (and don't get me wrong, I get tired of the thousand "why is there no (japanese|arabic|whatever-else) course for english speakers yet?" too), the main duolingo forum actually seems like one of the more appropriate places for a post like that.

I also think that a forum for suggestion would be very good.
