Golden french tree
I've finally made my french tree golden! Et aussi, je viens attient le niveau 17! I have a long way to go, as I want to reach level 25.
I've been listening to France24 live on Youtube; anyone else tried that. They talk very fast generally. If I concentrate hard I can hear the words and sentences, and my comprehension just depends on whether I know the vocabulary they've used :)
I'm loving duolingo! I plan to learn Spanish and German, and do English from French, later...thank you for this cool program!
Bon travail! C'est vraiment difficile maintenir un arbre en or. De plus, tu devrais travailler dans immersion; tu atteindras 25 rapidement. Bonne idée with France24, je vais commencer ça. Bonne chance dans tes études!
J'ai remarqué que le course d'espagnol a une "button" pour immersion - est-ce que le course de français a l'immersion? Je ne le vois pas... Ou, dites-vous que je dois trouver les moyens d'etudier dans immersion en plus de duolingo? Avez-vous trouvé le France24 live sur Youtube? C'est très bon. Merci!
I have immersion in French also, but I know there are often A/B tests, so perhaps they have temporarily taken the feature from you. Hopefully, if that is the case, you get it back soon. If maybe you just overlooked it, the immersion tab should be next to the normal "activity, discussion, then immersion" in the bar.
And yes, I have listened a bit to France24, thanks again for sharing the recommendation!
And, I'm really sorry to be writing in English, but I have so much homework.... (I know I need to practice and not make excuses).
Anyways, I hope you stay motivated with French, it really is a beautiful language :)
Je viens attient -> je viens d'atteindre.
Remember, the rule is "je viens de + infinitive"
Ahhh, oui, merci beaucoup! Je viens d'atteindre le niveau 17! Je devrais connaitre ca. Apres mills fois je fais encore des erreurs. On continue a travailler! Je vous remercier encore - ou, merci encore de votre assistance...hmmm...
Je devrais connaitre et je devrais le savoir ont le même sens dans cette phrase il me semble...
Also, to say "I have reached level 17" I would say "j'ai atteint le niveau 17" or "je suis arrivé au niveau".
Merci beaucoup! So many different ways to say things! An interesting side note (to me at least) is that, I suppose, understanding the subtle implications of saying something one way vs. another only come with a really great understanding of a language. I certainly don't have that in French, maybe not even English! Thanks :)
Also, if you want to use "viens" and "atteindre" you write "je viens d'atteindre". Broadly, you don't really use two conjugated verbs on the trot, so the second should be the infinitive and some verbs are followed by à or de before the infinitive. Venir (je viens) is followed by de.
People can understand what you wrote, but I'm a grammar geek, so trying to help you. :)
Congratulations! It's a great idea to do English from French! But firstly I need to finish my french tree... By the way your name reminds me of Andrew Lloyd Webber :)
