Gender in dictionary hints

It would be useful to have the gender of words in the dictionary hints, this would make easier ti remember genders.

You are right and not the first persons to comment on this. Being very pragmatic I advise people in this situation to take to the old fashioned pen and paper. Make a list of nouns in three columns. Masc., fem., neuter. If you can find it: add the plural because any rule you will find in dictionaries and grammars are okay but lacking. There are so many exemptions to the rules, that I always forced my students to learn the plural to each word by rote.

Totally agree, especially for German this would be tremendously useful.

even more, in german how to form the plural would also be very usefull

Yes and no, or as Germans would say "jein". There are so many exeptions to the rule, that it is more practical to learn the plural with each word instead of using the rule.

Particularly since any decent German/other language dictionary will provide the gender, as well as its plural form.

Definitely needed

The gender is important for German, French, Spanish, Russian. If you ever consider adding Arabic, be sure to include the plural form of any noun as the plural needs to be memorized (e.g., "el kitaab" = the book; "el kutub" = "the books").

6 years ago. And they still didn't do that change

They had it in for a short time. Then it disappeared again.
