My sentence with just "bieten" was accepted (without the separable "an-" prefix put at the end) but I think that might not be entirely correct. This seems to be a good explanation of why: http://christianlangenegger.wordpress.com/2011/06/06/bieten-vs-anbieten/


I don't think that "bieten" is necessarily wrong in this situation, although I would agree that "anbieten" certainly sounds better. Without context it's impossible to discern which one would be more appropriate, though.


Very correctly "offers" would be translated as "anbieten" so the above correct translation is the best here - in this context!
