An option to have no audio questions?

Hi! Long time user, first time post-writer, be gentle :p

I was just wondering if it could ever be possible to choose to do a test (or anything) and opt out of audio questions? I know you can skip them, but then they get marked as wrong, which kinda sucks. Maybe if "skip" just meant "skip" with no penalty?

I know I could just not do any practice on the days when I have to do it with no sound, but I don't want to break my streak! :P

I'm having the same issue... I turn the Speaker to off on the settings page ( https://www.duolingo.com/settings/account ) but when I click Save and then go to practice, it still has Speaker questions! And if I go back to Settings, I find that it hasn't saved!

That sucks :( I just turn it off on the settings, save and it sticks. Have you tried checking the help pages or sending a complaint?

Also, have you tried turning off the speaker and the microphone? I don't know if that'll help, but it can't hurt to try ;)

It turned out to be an issue with Google Chrome but not with Microsoft Internet Explorer, so I could fix it eventually.

Oh yay, I'm glad it got fixed. It's annoying when your favourite browser decides to not work properly.
