Sioned is a Welsh girls name.

Weird that we learn people's names in the first few lessons. Wouldn't that make more sense to learn at a later stage...?

It's just a way of adding flavour to the course and to introduce a few traditional names, if you're not sure if it is a name then if you hover over it with a cursor it will just show that it's the same in English and Welsh and is probably a name if the context makes sense.

Does is Welsh too 'S' becomes 'Sh' when followed by 'i' or 'e', like in Irish ?
