"the grandfathers" = "bestefedrene"

"de bestefedre"(archaic) = "the/those grandfathers"

Indefinite singular: (et) barn

Definite singular: barnet

Indefinite plural: (flere) barn

Definite plural: (alle) barna

I think it's often good to know all four of these, not just three as it might get kinda confusing. Remember et, ei and en will have different conjugations. I can show another example, this time using "en" instead of "et": (En) mann - mannen - (flere) menn - (alle) mennene
