Swedish help with possessives
I am doing possessive lessons on Swedish and I can't seem to figure out some things such as "sin" is automatically every possessive but their are words that are the words like hers and in Swedish its Hennes but you can just say the ducks are hers with hennes but you could also say the ducks are hers with "sin" help!
"Sin" is used only for third person (i.e. singular he or she and plural they) and when the subject is the owner of the object.
This means that "the ducks are hers" can only be "ankorna är hennes" in Swedish (since the ducks and the girl are not the same person/animals :)).
Ankorna äter sitt bröd.
Ankorna badar i sin damm.
Ankorna gillar sina simfötter.
