Duo-team, you are doing a fantastic job. Thank you for it all in 2013.

A lot of people are learning several languages. And, doing the practices and repetitions takes quite a big amount of time.

Therefore, I would really love to see a cross-lingual practice from Spanish to Portuguese to French, etc. Practicing weakest words in between languages would save us time and we could learn the differences in between the languages more explicitly. Of course, the courses i.e. French-Italian need to be incubated first...

This would probably be quite complicated with which language points are attributed to, but from a user-centered point of view this would be my dream feature.

I imagine it not only to be complicated, but to be really complicated. For that to work duolingo needs to have a framework for all languages and it's hard to make one because languages are subtly different. One cannot directly translate to another and with different rules for conjugation, grammar and whatnot this feature is still far into the future. Although I would love that yes please.

I agree, the implementation will be probably be difficult. It probably depends on how the databases are structured.

Probably, I will just begin the Protuguese-Italian course once it is available. But, then the hitherto progress would be lost...
