speak and record freezes

Why do the speak and record lessons freeze? The only way to proceed is to click "Don't know the answer?" Unfortunately this costs a heart. I report it every time, but no change. I am using Chrome on a Mac.

This happens to me, too. Unfortunately, it's an intermittent problems, and those are usually the hardest to troubleshoot.

For the record, it happens to me both in IE on Windows, and in Safari on Mac.
