Strengthen Skills - Why do I get the same super easy questions over and over again?

I have finished the DuoLingo Swedish course and now I want to keep praticising my skills. I was really fond of the "Strengthen Skills" button, but now I keep getting the same super easy, basic lesson material over and over again. I tried restarting, finishing the practice, logging out and back in – nothing helps. It keeps repeating the same easy questions after finishing a set.

Would anyone know why DuoLingo does this and how I can get the Strengthen Skills feature to give new practice material that fits my skill level?

Thanks!

This might work in different ways for different users, since Duo likes to try out different things. But when I recently re-did my French tree and then kept working on it until I reached level 25, I noticed that the best way to get difficult questions was to do Strengthen skills on the whole tree. If that was what you were doing and you still get easy questions, you're probably in another test group. In that case I'd try strengthening individual skills instead. (You're working on a computer, not a mobile unit, right?)

PS I also noticed I get a better experience if I fail all the multiple choice questions on purpose (not the ones with a dropdown menu, those are great and very helpful), but I realize this is a bit extreme.

When you say you get the same beginner material over and over again, how long a period of using the strengthen skills functionality are you referring to?

I've been doing nothing but strengthening skills in Swedish using timed practice for half a year or more (as in I do it daily for 10-15 minutes) and for me the practice material seems to cover the majority of the lessons in the tree with the occasional monotonous spell during which I'll recognize a particular lesson contributing many of the 20 challenges I get during a timed strengthen skills drill. It's rare that it seems particularly repetitive, as you describe it to be for you.

Also the very basic stuff hardly ever creeps up for me, as I assume its vocabulary and grammar being covered indirectly and thus also strengthened when strengthening intermediate material.

That said, I just did 10 minutes of the same in Spanish and I noticed a lot of repetition there, so odds are some algorithm responsible for dishing out strengthen skills practice material is a little out of whack currently.
