Results from quiz

I would like the written or emailed results from my first quiz, which I failed so miserably, so that I can study my mistakes and learn from them. I thank you for the certificate, but I would rather see how I fared on the answers themselves. How am I supposed to learn if I can't see my quiz results? I would greatly appreciate getting an email copy of what I answered correctly and what I missed. I want to learn. Many thanks, Dianna (BunnyMika)

Hi, if you're talking about the Progress Quiz, Duolingo does not tell you what you got right and what you got wrong. The Progress Quiz intentionally tests you on ALL of the course, not just what you have completed. This way it can figure out how far along you are, or how well you are progressing.

Many people take the Progress Quiz at regular intervals (every checkpoint, every month...) and if Duo showed you the results, then you could accidentally "learn" the quiz without really learning the underlying content and concepts, and your quiz results would become skewed.

You asked "How am I supposed to learn if I can't see my quiz results?" - by doing the lessons. If you keep reviewing, and doing a new lesson every now and then, your quiz results will automatically improve.

Why does everyone assume that giving feedback has to mean giving the answers? It would be helpful for people to simply know what broad categories they are having difficulties with.

Feedback such as:

Present Tense

Past Perfect Continuous

Abstract Objects

Just as an example. These wouldn't give anyone the answers but would provide enough feedback that they would know how to divide their time when studying.
