movies in french

I asked before for music in french, it did help. But now, I am asking for movies in french, old or new, I don't mind. comedy would be better than romance, because I like comedy movies. please suggest good comedy-french movies!

How about "L'arnacoeur"? It's a rom-com but it's not as bad as you might think, at least the first 2/3 of it. :)

Btw, I just saw "Revenant" the other day. There was a brief scene where you see a sign in French. I was glad I understood what it said. I'm such a beginner. :D

I quite liked "Seducing Doctor Lewis," a sweet Québecois comedy about a small village that needs to prove they have a local doctor to attract a factory to locate there. To do this they recruit an Anglo-Canadian to their village - and cultural clash comedy (French vs English) ensues.

This will however have a Québecois accent...

I like Amélie (netflix) and GiGi (netflix). Have several others lined up when I get the time. I watched one last weekend with five different languages, all European. It was a World War II flick, if anyone's interested I'll go back and find the title. Lots of German, French, and I think Danish. Went back, "The Heavy Water War", it's a séries with six episodes thus far on netflix.

I have seen 3 French movies so far. But only the first one is a comedy.

La grande vadrouille - A movie about two French men during the WWII trying to smuggle a few Americans out of the country after their plane crashed. Les choristes - A teacher works at a school for boys who are not really wanted and don't have plans for the future, so he starts a school choir to give them hope again. (Story around 1920) Il ya longtemps que je t'aime. - About a woman who's been in prison for 15 years and now has to get used to live outside of prison agian.

Mon meilleur ami and The intouchables are my favorite french movies.

The Intouchables is based on a true story.
