Missing translation for new word

In the Countries skill, lesson 1, we are asked to translate "Dw i'n hoffi'r eidal" with 'eidal' highlighted as a new word, but when I select it, the drop down translation is blank!

https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/Eidaleg It looks like "yr Eidal" is Italy and "Eidaleg" is the Italian language. I hope you reported it at that lesson!

Here is the Welsh Wikipedia article on Italy: https://cy.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yr_Eidal

'Eidal' means Italy.

Thanks but I know what it means (I have a Welsh-English dictionary). I was just trying to report the problem to the Welsh team.

Diolch, this is due to a longstanding problem with our course and a number of other courses on Duolingo where adding the apostrophe, which is very important in Welsh as it shows the definite article after a vowel, causes the system to malfunction. We're still waiting for Duolingo to fix this.

Many thanks Richard. It's good to know they are working on the problem.
