Robert Musil — Człowiek bey charakterów. Ale, można, człowiek który żyje w świecie bez charakterów.

"Człowiek bez właściwości/charakteru". The plural of 'charakter' doesn't work in this context.

I'm not sure what was meant by the second sentence.

I tried to translate “But maybe a man who lives in a world without a character”, although I am not sure myself about whether the German 'Eigenschaften' is translated well with 'Charakter'. I will have to look for something coming closer to the English Attitude.

It sounds to me that "charakteru" is being pronounced with a "k" instead of a "ch" polish sound. Maybe is just me, since I'm used to the word in English ?

I think that the voices are correct and it's Polish "ch".
