I simply created a new user when I started studying English/Russian.... So I have one profile (Possu71) for English based languages: Italian, French, Spanish and German and this one for Russian based English.

I thought it was faster just to switch between the languages than to logout and login

I initially did try to have all languages in the same user profile and I would still like to do so - it's just that adding the Russian based English to my language portfolio changed the user interface to Russian for ALL languages. That was the reason why I created the second user profile. And I do not ever login/logout to change between them. On my laptop I am I am always logged on as Possu71. But I use laptop rarely - mainly to lookup things that are not available in duolingo mobile apps, like gram er explanations, all my vocabulary and most importantly the bonus lessons. I mainly study on iPhone and iPad where I am logged in with my main profile Possu71 in mobile apps and with my Russian based profile in browser as Russian based English is not available in mobile apps anyway... So I don't even change the laguages. I only switch between Duolingo app and the browser :)

I do it often, when you switch back to your other languages, the interface changes as well. But if you have you Russian profile turned on you would recieve reminders in the email in Russian for all languages and if you click the linke in your email and go there, you would see everything in Russian. But as soon as you turn the other language in the settings you would have emails in that language. But if you 2 accounts work better for you, then there is no problem at all.

If I would have known all that I would have kept russian under the same profile, but now i am on level 6 and I don't want to restart. So once you release English based Russian, then I will have all the languages together, especially as there is no Russian for mobile apps.
