Test at each checkpoint?

If the tree is going to be divided into checkpoints, why not have a "strengthen skills" type thing for each section?

I know the general test is designed to cover quite a lot, but it'd be nice if that was an "everything" test and there were also more specific ones.

Or does it not exist because I'm the only one who thinks it's a good idea? (Or just as likely, I've missed something and it does exist? :P)

This seems like a very good idea, I don't know why nobody addressed it though. There is a "shortcut system" in which you can take a test and get placed further in the language, but what I get from your suggestion is that there should be a small revision after passing a checkpoint, right? If so, I agree, it would be a nice thing to add for a fast improvement.

I agree! I find I will end up doing an "overall" test and find it hard to see what subjects I am struggling on! or end up not covering everything. I think having checkpoints would mean having more tracking on your progress and focusing on certain things at one time :)
